WEBSTER'S NINTH
NEW COLLEGIATE DICTIONARY

Following are some of the words I find in the NIV Holy Bible - some, or maybe even all, you KNOW the meaning of, but if you don't, now you do. This may give you a slightly clearer understanding of some things, or at least put things into a wonderful perspective!

Righteousness - acting in accordance with divine or moral law; free from guilt or sin

Syzygus - {I have this word here spelled syzygos, but I assume it is a minor variation of vowels concerning an ancient Greek word....here is what THIS word is:} yoked together; the nearly straight-line configuration of three celestial bodies, as sun, moon and earth, during a solar or lunar eclipse. ..."nearly straight-line configuration..." ummm, in unison, in perfect formation...working together with a single goal....that's as good an educated guess as we're going to get...

Zealot - a member of a fanatical sect arising in Judea during the first century A.D. and militantly opposing the Roman domination of Palestine (an anti-government rebel)

A THOUGHT: What 3 things do we see / get at the cross?

Justice = getting what WE DESERVE
Mercy = NOT getting what WE DESERVE
Grace = getting what WE DO NOT DESERVE
