But the LORD came down to see the city (Babel) and the tower that the men were building...The LORD said, “...Come, let US go down and confuse their language...” So the LORD scattered them...(Genesis 11:7)
“I am He; I am the First and I am the Last / Do not be afraid. I am the First and the Last. I am the Living One; I WAS dead, and behold I am alive for ever and ever! (Isaiah 48:12 / Revelation 1:17-18) God is speaking in Isaiah, but OBVIOUSLY Jesus Christ is speaking in Revelation......the Father and the Son can not BOTH make the same claim, without one of them being in conflict with the other...there is only ONE way they can both be The First and the Last...Jesus Christ IS God the Son
“And I will pour out on the house of David and on the inhabitants of Jerusalem a spirit (or THE SPIRIT) of grace and supplication. They will look on (or TO) Me, the one they have pierced, and they will mourn for Him as one mourns for an only child, and grieve bitterly for Him as one grieves for a firstborn son.” (Zechariah 12:10) Obviously this is God speaking; Zechariah comes before the New Testament, so the flesh of Jesus Christ has not even arrived on earth yet, yet you notice how GOD says ...“look to ME, the One they pierced...” (when did anybody pierce GOD??) referring to the wound in the side of Christ, as He hung on the cross. But He says more than that...“..look to Me....and they will mourn for Him” There is clearly more than one Being here, and that can be explained in only one way...Jesus Christ is God the Son
In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the WORD WAS GOD. He was with God in the beginning. Through Him all things were made, without Him NOTHING was made that has been made...He was in the world, and though the world was MADE THROUGH HIM, the world did not recognize him...The Word BECAME FLESH and made his dwelling among us. (John 1:1-3, 10, 14)
I, John...was in the Spirit...and I heard behind me a loud voice like a trumpet...and when I turned I saw...someone “like a son of man,”...His head and hair were white like wool, as white as snow, and HIS EYES WERE LIKE BLAZING FIRE... - I saw heaven standing open and there before me was a white horse, whose rider is called Faithful and True. With justice He judges and makes war. HIS EYES ARE LIKE BLAZING FIRE, and on His head are many crowns. He has a name written on Him that no one knows but He Himself. He is dressed in a robe dipped in blood, and HIS NAME IS THE WORD OF GOD(Revelation 1:9-14 - 19:11-13)
God is spirit, and his worshippers must worship in spirit and in truth. (John 4:24)
“I AND THE FATHER ARE ONE.” Again the Jews picked up stones to stone him, but Jesus said to them, “...For which of these do you stone me?” “We are not stoning you for these,” replied the Jews, “but for blasphemy, because YOU, a mere man, CLAIM TO BE GOD.” (John 10:30-33) Jesus Christ looked them straight in the eyes and told them that HE IS GOD and they HEARD Him and REPEATED it back to Him....Jesus Christ IS God the Son
Then Jesus cried out, “When a man believes in me, he does not believe in me only, but in the one who sent me. When he looks at me, HE SEES THE ONE who sent me.” (John 12:44-45)
“Anyone who has seen Me has seen the Father.” (John 14:9)
“When the Counselor comes, whom I will send to you from the Father, the Spirit of truth who goes out from the Father, he will testify about Me.” (John 15:26)
“And now, Father, glorify Me in your presence with the glory I had with you BEFORE the world began.” (John 17:5)
Again Jesus said, “Peace be with you! As the Father has sent Me, I am sending you.” And with that He breathed on them and said, “Receive the Holy Spirit.” (John 20:21-22)
Exalted to the right hand of God, He has recieved from the Father the promised Holy Spirit....(Acts 2:33)
Paul and his companions traveled throughout the region of Phrygia and Galatia, having been kept by the Holy Spirit from preaching the Word in the province of Asia. When they came to the border of Mysia, they tried to enter Bithynia, but the Spirit of Jesus would not allow them to. (Acts 16:6-7)
You, however, are controlled not by the sinful nature but by the Spirit, if the Spirit of God lives in you. And if anyone does not have the Spirit of Christ, he doe not belong to Christ. But if Christ is in you, your body is dead because of sin, yet your spirit is alive because of righteousness. And if the Spirit of him who raised Jesus from the dead is living in you, he who raised Christ from the dead will also give life to your mortal bodies through his Spirit, who lives in you. (Romans 8:9-10)
Theirs are the patriarchs, and from them is traced the human ancestry of Christ, who is God over all, forever praised! Amen. (Romans 9:5)
...but God has revealed it to us by His Spirit. The Spirit searches all things, even the deep things of God. For who among men knows the thoughts of a man except the man's spirit within him? In the same way no one knows the thoughts of God except the Spirit of God. We have not recieved the spirit of the world but the Spirit who is from God....(1 Corinth. 2:10-12)
Now the LORD is the Spirit, and where the Spirit of the LORD is, there is peace...The god of this age has blinded the minds of unbelievers, so that they cannot see the light of the gospel of the glory of Christ, who is the image of God. (2 Corinth. 3-17; 4-4)
He is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn over all creation. For by Him all things were created: things in Heaven and on earth, visible and invisible, whether thrones or powers or rulers or authorities; all things were created by Him and for Him. He is before all things...(Colossians 1:15-17)
For in Christ all the fullness of the DEITY lives in bodily form...(Colossians 2:9)
Beyond all question, the mystery of godliness is great: He (GOD) appeared in a body, (or IN THE FLESH) was seen by angels, was preached among the nations, was believed on in the world, was taken up in glory. (1 Tim. 3:16)
The Son is the radiance of God's Glory and the EXACT REPRESENTATION of His being....(Hebrews 1:3) At someone's request recently, I made an EXACT representation of something for them....I called it A PHOTO-COPY. As Jesus said in John 12:45, “When he looks at ME, he sees the One who sent Me.” Jesus is GOD the Son
But about the Son, God says, “Your throne, O GOD, will last forever and ever...therefore God, your God has set You above Your companions...” He also says, “In the beginning, O LORD, YOU laid the foundations of the earth, and the heavens are the work of YOUR hands.” (Hebrews 1:8, 10) God Himself spoke of Jesus, and called HIM GOD, the Creator...Jesus Christ IS God the Son
We know also that the Son of God has come and has given us understanding, so that we may know him who is true. And we are in him who is true - even in his Son, Jesus Christ. He is the true God and eternal life. {“Remain in me, and I in you...I am the way, the truth and the Life...” - John 14-15} (1 John 5:20)
Day and night they never stop saying: “Holy Holy Holy is the LORD God Almighty, who was, and who is, and who is to come.” (Revel. 4:8) Hebrew writings indicate that the 3 words are spoken to the Father, the Son, and the Spirit...that is why it is written 3 times
